The Evaluation Process

Once you choose the LEC for your family, the evaluation has 3 steps.

    1. Intake Appointment

A LEC psychologist will meet with you to discuss your child’s development and understand your questions and goals for the evaluation. We will send you intake forms before this meeting.

    2. Assessment Session(s)

Testing at the Learning Evaluation Center is typically completed in one or two sessions. We work closely with you to create a plan tailored to your child's unique needs. Following the assessment session(s), we schedule a meeting to review the results and discuss recommendations.

    3. Feedback Session

The feedback session happens about three weeks after testing. You’ll get a draft report, and the evaluation team will go over it with you. The final report usually includes history, test results, explanations, and suggestions. We also write a brief family letter with pictures that summarizes key findings.
